Tanzania located in East Africa between longitudes 29 degrees and 41 degrees east and latitudes 1 degree and 12 degrees south. Tanzania borders Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the west and Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique to the south. Tanzania discovered its name from Tanganyika and Zanzibar being the largest country in East Africa comprising both Mainland and Zanzibar Islands.
These two states united in 1964 named the United Republic of Tanzania.Tanzania is the unique country in Africa with best natural and cultural attractions the Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, one of the main features that attract tourists in the country. Romantic beaches and national parks are the important tourist spot.
Different lakes found in Tanzania are the Lake Victoria, Lake Nyasa and Lake Tanganyika. During the hot season the temperature ranges between 35 and 50 degree C and during the cold season it ranges between 10 and 20 degree Centigrade.
November to February is the hottest period in Tanzania and country experiences severe cold during the months of May to August. There are two major rainfalls that occur in Tanzania. There are different ethnic groups found in Tanzania each with their own language but Swahili and English is the official language mostly used in Tanzania.
